Two Factor Authentication

2FA is Two Factor Authentication, where the user will have to authenticate using something they have, such as inheritance factors ( Face Recognition, Fingerprint) or possession factors such as (Phone or device).

The following are the currently available Two-Factor Authentication choices via Min:

Passcode Authentication is Min Secure’s APP-based authentication. When using this option to authenticate, the user will have to enter the passcode shown on the Min APP dashboard at the prompt screen to get approved to access the Application.

min Secure also has an SMS (text message) option to deliver passcodes to the users mobile device upon attempting to access a min Secure-protected system. The mobile device can be any device with a phone number which can receive standard SMS text messages.

When the user chooses the Prompt Authentication, min Secure sends a push notification to the chosen Device with information such as the user email, date/time, and location from where the application was accessed and will prompt the user to Approve or Deny the Application access request.
